This role is hands-on, broad scope in nature and strategic in providing human resources expertise, leadership and direction in the areas of change management, organizational development, performance management, compensation, engagement and retention, coaching/development, conflict management, employee relations, HR compliance and policy development and administration, workforce planning, talent management, HR Operations and more for the rapidly growing manufacturing setup in Bengaluru The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring HR related compliance for the manufacturing unit Sets HR strategy and vision for the Make in India (MII) site in alignment with the APAC and Cepheid global HR strategy whilst actively adapting to regional situation and manufacturing requirements. Advise, influence and guide all levels of management on the HR implications of business strategies and all aspects of people-management and leadership. Partner with Make in India (MII) leaders and Danaher/ Cepheid HR team in organizational assessment to translate business strategies into actions that deliver results, improve organizational capability and manage workforce planning. In a context of high growth expected at Make in India (MII), ability to partner with MII leaders to identify the Talent capabilities for the future and provide strategic staffing plans in line with Cepheid Danaher guidance. Partner closely with leadership in sourcing, selecting and onboarding key talent to continue to build out organizational capability and enables stronger talent bench and funnel for further development and growth. Consult with leaders regarding talent assessments, succession planning and supporting talent actions that drive both personal/professional development (through robust development planning) of associates for continued career growth. Leads Localization deliverables and HR initiatives at the Make in India (MII) site. Establishes trusting relationships with all levels and especially with associates, serving as advocate for both associates and the business, proactively managing engagement, conflicts and improvements related to associate s engagement and job satisfaction. Applies the Danaher HR policies and processes and ensures appropriate career development programs and initiatives are aligned with critical skill development and succession planning for designated functional teams. Ensures strong performance management through leadership coaching leaders in areas like goal setting, fair and accurate performance assessments, preparing leaders for feedback conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans when needed, and partnering in tough organizational and associate decisions. Develop and manage communications regarding organizational structure, employment-related news, and HR-related programs and policies. Champions the Danaher Business System (DBS) through driving the organizational culture that encompasses continuous improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives, hiring the right fit people and ensuring associates are on-boarded and have the right level of regular education, training and development on lean, growth and leadership DBS tools Responsible for team s delivery of robust and efficient HR operations activities including payroll, benefits, Workday process excellence, data integrity and audits. Partner with Compensation department on making recommendations for job creation/leveling of roles. Review relevant market data and subsequent communications/recommendations made to the business leaders. Consult on proposed promotions and help drive the annual review process. Resolve employee related issues through a systematic approach with clear documentation. Manages associate relations situations effectively using the investigative process, problem solving including root cause analysis, counseling, and coaching. Has personal ownership for key HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) for client area and works with leaders to dive to root cause and develop and execute appropriate counter-measures where needed Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives through DBS activities to improve efficiency of HR processes
