Engagement with a wide network of internal and external contacts to understand and keep up to date with workforce regulations and HR compliance in policies and issues across the region as may be required and appropriate.
Liaise with HR Direct UK, Local Staff Policy Team and with other HR hubs on HR projects and issues pertaining to Local Staff HR policies; actively contributing and providing input in discussions relating to review of policies, processes, local legal compliance in collaboration with Local Staff Policy team.
To manage an effective performance management cycle in the region. This includes leading and managing all communications on Local staff appraisal processes like objective setting, mid-year review and end of year evaluation.
Management of probation confirmations covering prompting managers for probation confirmations, issue of confirmation letters and share the relevant input with the pay and benefits team.
Management of Exit process including HR acceptance of resignation, end of term notification for staff whose contracts are ending.
Ensure application of Global People Principles in SAAD.
To manage a high quality service delivered by HR Direct in SAAD with a constant strive to provide appropriate policy guidance taking into account diverse customer needs and requirements.
To ensure that defined service level agreements (SLA) are met by HR Direct and to explore the scope to further enhance its effectiveness. This includes a continuous assessment of enquiries received as deadline critical and to ensure that these addressed as per priority.
Guiding on and handling the Employee Relations issues & cases.
Support Posts in updating the Local staff terms and conditions by reviewing the same as per the latest local labour law, FCO guidelines and Global People Principles.
Ensure precise guidance is given to the managers for managing performance issues in their teams.
Provide support in situations of organisational restructuring and change.
