JOB DETAILS
Prepare the monthly payroll calendar and communicates to all parties involved in the payroll process.
Input variable pay data into the payroll system for inclusion with the next pay cycle.
Verify the accuracy of the payroll prior to releasing payments including a month over month variance analysis, and reviewing employee master data changes focusing on starters, leavers, name, address, etc.
Forward payroll payment supporting documentation
If pay slips not delivered electronically, follows the local process to approve, distribute, and/or archive paper pay slips.
Reconcile and prepare PF, ESIC, PT, statutory taxes and income, or other statutory reports if required.
Ensure that all payroll-related controls are followed and updates local process narratives on a regular basis or when there are changes to the payroll processes.
Provide timely response to all queries related to employee salary and reimbursements
Participate in payroll projects on payroll practices, regulations, and compliance.
Requirements
Graduation in any discipline. MBA Preferred.
5+ years of experience in payroll delivery and/or accounting,
Fluency in the English language
Cross-cultural sensitivity
Strong exposure in MS Excel/Word
Performance driven and accountable
Experiments and adapts. Thrives under pressure and fast pace.

The Payroll Specialist role requires the person to provide a range of expert services to support efficient execution of payroll, policies, and projects. The primary responsibility of the position is the quality assurance of the payroll process, including coordinating information inputs and outputs with all involved parties. The role will also involve updating all pay components/ benefits, quality assurance and review of payroll, vendor management through SLA and KPI metrics, as well as continuous improvements and supporting the internal and external audits.
