GroupM is the world s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. We are currently looking for a NationalHead - Talent Acquisition to join us.
The overall objective for the Talent Acquisition Head is to identify and attract the best and brightest talent for the GroupM agencies in India. You will be leveraging on technology and data to make smart business decisions and be the subject of hiring for all levels in the business.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Chief HR & Talent Officer, GroupM South Asia

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
• Built up a solid understanding of our agencies, their structure and talent needs.
• Developed relationships with relevant business partners
• Become familiar with the recruitment tools and systems used at GroupM.
In six months:
• Delivered quality talent pipeline for our hiring manager stakeholders
• Independently led the recruitment for a number of senior/critical roles and had a number of successful placements across the agencies
• You will have started making significant business impact through your understanding, knowledge and initiatives
In 12 months, you would have:
• Become an expert in using our in-house technology and tools.
• You would have successfully launched your most important and impactful HR strategy based on needs of the agency
What your day job looks like at GroupM:
• Builds a strong business relationship with the internal client
• Work with the CHRO to implement the talent acquisition strategy (in line with the business strategy and any regional talent acquisition strategy) across the group
• Provide effective recruitment advice, guidance and solutions to managers across the group; always working within the necessary legal parameters
• Ensure all relevant procedures and processes are followed, adhered to and evidenced at all times
• Provide constant feedback to the team on any aspect, which may affect the success of the HR & Talent team always retaining an awareness of the bigger picture
• Be an effective, committed and participative team member in order to provide a first class service to the group; contributing to the continuing development of the HR & Talent team
Searches & Strategy:
• Work directly with managers and the TA team to develop appropriate and reasonable job descriptions for each role, where necessary
• Establish the search process, including the interview process, for each brief, as well as the compensation target for the search
• Lead the search strategy and provide regular and timely information to the recruiting managers to ensure they are up to date on progress
• Communicate as needed with other members of the HR & Talent team throughout the process
Talent Development:
• Telephone screening of potential prospects and sources to determine appropriateness as a candidate or reliable source
• Communicate with agency leaders as sources and for general market and company feedback
• Conduct interviews with interested candidates, when required
• Write profiles and presentations on candidates and the market on a quarterly basis
• Reference checks candidates
• Ensure WPP policies with regards to recruitment, specifically the WPP Poaching Policy, are well understood and adhered to by all employees and TA team
Research:
• Study company and industry information to be appropriately prepared to execute and pitch the opportunity to potential candidates
• Use GroupM s proprietary database to retrieve information on prospects, sources, target companies and related search work. Update and maintain the database with relevant information, executives, etc. ensuring all records are up to date and accurate.
• Identify and target companies, candidates and sources through reference materials and online services, as well as calling target companies to identify prospects
• Become the industry knowledge expert by keeping abreast of trends and developments in business and the talent market through seminars, conferences and reading pertinent information
• Maintain a knowledge and understanding of competitive compensation in the media industry and relevant professional areas
Reporting and Database Management:
• Ensure regular reporting by the TA team on all key searches, including the candidate short list for each search using the ATS
• Oversee appropriate maintenance of data and candidate assessments in the recruitment system
• Ensure systems are adequately populated with current talent information and that all search efforts are tracked on a timely basis
• Develop standard reporting capability from the system to inform key management of search activities
Operational:
• Develop effective relationships throughout all levels of the organization
• Ensure the CHRO is kept informed of all talent acquisition issues which may require his/her involvement or which may impact on the on-going talent strategy planning and development
• Consistently demonstrates situation sensitivity and confidentiality to ensure that the HR & Talent team is seen as a trusted and valued team within the organization

• Extensive experience sourcing candidates from multiple channels including careers websites, professional and social media, employee referrals and job sites
• Experience recruiting in a high pressure, high volume environment
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, experience managing clients or internal stakeholders at any level
