Job Description SummaryIn Gas Power Human Resources (HR), we work together as a team to build a safe, inspiring, and inclusive workplace that enable our teams to do their best work. The Human Resource Partner plays a vital role in making that happen. This role serves as the first point of contact for people leaders and employees to provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions for their assigned teams within the business. This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a Human Resource Partner, you will: Provide dedicated HR guidance and coaching to multiple leaders and employees with a specific focus on employee advocacy / engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment acquisition and retention, and workplace investigations, as appropriatePartner horizontally across the HR function to execute business-specific HR strategiesPartner with clients and HR team to embed a contemporary organizational culture with a Lean focus to assist in driving broad change and improving the employee experienceEnsure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolvedProvide advice and counsel to leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100 PERCENT compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environmentResponsible for key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance, learning and development, and other organizational initiatives.Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and careConduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary actionCollaborate with cross-functional teams on other HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groupsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of three years of professional work in the Human Resources function with responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development or performance managementDesired CharacteristicsExhibits the GE Leadership Behaviors: acts with humility, leads with transparency, executes with focusPerforms with a Lean mindset and is skilled in applying Lean tools to improving business operationsDemonstrated ability to perform inclusively in a diverse environment and to promote inclusion and diversity in the workplaceStrong problem-solving skills: ability to take initiative, resolve issues and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environmentWorks collaboratively: excels in a matrixed work environment, contributes constructively to team performanceCommitted to learning and self-development: seeks out learning opportunities to build expertise, skills and capabilitiesStrong foundation of HR concepts and principles, including compensation, interview and selection, employee relations, organizational effectiveness and legal issues and risks.Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human ResourcesAdditional Information Relocation Assistance Provided
