Job description
Role & responsibilities
Handle all cases related to non-payment of wages, demand for compensation, final settlement, non-payment of dues, and gratuity claims.
Manage labour cases, including differential wages charged by labour enforcement officers.
Oversee and resolve disputes relating to workers' entitlements, settlements, and labour violations.
Ensure compliance with all labour-related regulations including the renewal of labour licenses and maintenance of necessary documentation.
Oversee regular inspections and audits, ensuring all legal obligations are met under the Indian labour laws.
Submit and manage monthly and annual returns for labour-related matters.
Oversee and ensure the timely submission of all ESI and EPF related returns, both monthly and annual.
Handle all aspects of Employee State Insurance (ESI) and Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) cases, including dispute resolution and settlements.
Manage compensation claims, settlements, and resolution of grievances relating to wage disputes, final settlements, and gratuity.
Act as the key point of contact for any labour department inspections and audits, representing the company in all legal matters related to labour laws.
Liaise with government agencies, labour officers, and other regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
Qualification, Experience:
A degree in Law, HR, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in managing labour, ESI, EPF, and compliance-related matters, ideally in the construction industry.
Must be familiar with Odishas local labour laws and regulations
Strong legal knowledge, problem-solving ability, and excellent negotiation skills
Must have in-depth knowledge of labour laws, EPF, ESI, and regulations governing the construction industry
