Overview of our journey in Pune:
iTeach Schools runs free and high-impact secondary schools and a college-to-career program for the most disadvantaged students of Pune and PCMC. Like many Indian cities, both of these public education systems only go up to Grade VII, leading to the poorest students being unable to finish their schooling. In 2023, with a staff of 250 members across nine schools, we will serve 3000 students and 2000+ alumni - giving students a fighting chance at college, career, and citizenship. We aim to grow to 30 schools and 10,000 students over the next five years.

iTeach is now in NAVI MUMBAI!
We are now expanding to Navi Mumbai and are looking for teachers to embark on a journey of transforming Navi Mumbai schools from good to great.
We are looking for iTeach Mumbai's founding team - a group of leaders who will come with gumption, drive, and resourcefulness; and get a nurturing culture, world-class PD, and a chance to serve more than a 1000 highly vulnerable students.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Associate, a vital part of the People Operations team, plays a pivotal role in crafting impactful experiences for our staff. Guided by iTeach's principle of "first who, then what," this position holds immense significance in fostering our staff's growth and student achievements. They also oversee recruitment, further amplifying our commitment to exceptional individuals who drive our success.
Recruitment
Identify talent pools, build relationships and manage their application process
Manage presence on job portals online
Screen and short-list candidates on these online portals
Ensure meaningful interactions and effective relationships with candidates from offer roll-out till acceptance
Own and constantly refine the logistics of the interviewing process
Complete preboarding and induction formalities
Policies, Systems, and Processes
Implement existing HR, POSH, Child Protection, and other related policies to keep them 100% applicable, relevant, contextual, and up to date.
Help staff members follow systems and processes and cater to exceptions on case to case basis
Process Payroll and other compliances for all employees
Track key HR Parameters such as probation, attrition, retention, etc., and create dashboards for reporting
Launch employee engagement and well-being activities and surveys
Experience and Competencies:
Required: Bachelor’s degree with strong performance
Required: 1+ years of work experience in HR
Preferred: Experience in a school system/education organisation
Location: Navi Mumbai
Salary- Salary is decided based on the candidate's education and work experience. Our usual compensation for this role lies between 3.48 Lakh Per Annum - 3.96 Lakh Per Annum. We also take pride in providing the best of industry benefits such as PF, Gratuity, Medical Insurance etc.
COMPANY DETAILS
India's education system is facing a massive crisis today. Over the past few years, we find that the SSA has ensured that 98% of our country's students are enrolled in a school in Grade 1 - and hence the "access to schools" issue is largely solved. However, when we look at what happens to these students' academic careers as they get into higher grades, we find an alarming problem i.e. the dropout rate. We find that only 26% of these students actually make it to college! This is the challenge iTeach Schools wants to try and start solving now - for the poorest of our nation's students, by starting and operating a chain of affordable secondary schools.
