Analysis of training needs
o To analyze training needs to develop new training programs
o To perform skill gap analysis and capture training needs through any of the training methodologies available, through performance appraisal forms, formal sessions with departmental heads etc.
Creating Training calendar
o To conceptualize, create and ensure implementation of training calendar.
o To confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, technical training needs and ensure they are featuring in the training calendar
o To perform assessment of empanelled trainers to determine the current level of service.
o Prepare training budget for the technical and soft skills training in the organization
o To be updated about competitor training analysis, deciding how to position and then finally positioning the company according to the analysis.
o Responsible for employer Brand creation: To ensure that the trained employees becomes a brand for in the winery sector
o To develop / update processes to check and minimize training cost, by initiating best practices in training
Delivering Training Modules
o To plan the number of programs and empanel trainers for conducting customized training programs.
o Designing, developing and assessing training resources and materials to be used as reading material, training guides.
o To collect and analyze competition Information: Examining the pricing, types of training, new developments in module development, new technology adapted and followed by various competitors.
o To develop customized, specific in-house training modules and programs
o To develop a culture of training and developing training and development communications
o Responsible for obtaining Senior Management Team approval and funding for proposed long term, phased out training.
o To work in close coordination with key sales and marketing personnel of different regions for identifying skill gaps and designing specific training programmes.
o Responsible for critical interfacing internally with all departments addressing their training needs and delivering training sessions
o Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees
Documentation and MIS
o To prepare monthly MIS report on the number of people covered, training days, training hours and % of training done
o To ensure that each employee undergoes at least one technical and one soft skills training in a calendar year
o To ensure that the training needs are addressed accordingly, and all employees are addressed
Measuring Training Effectiveness
o To develop testing and evaluation procedures based on best practices
o To follow Kirk Patricks model for training and development of statistical and other methods for evaluation of training effectiveness
o To ensure training evaluation is in line with business goals
