Who we need:
Based in-country, the Regional Director of Student Recruitment is responsible for the overall recruitment of international students for Yorkville University and Toronto Film School in India and surrounding regions.
The Regional Director will establish and deliver a regional recruitment strategy, as well as overseeing student recruitment activities and management of staff in the area. This will include recruiting students to study in Yorkville University and Toronto Film School programs in Canada through (but not limited to) partnerships, high schools and agents.

What you will do:
- Represent Yorkville University and Toronto Film School brands to promote to agents, institutions, schools, and prospective students. With a focus on business development.
- Connect with and manage recruitment channels including, but not limited to, existing and new agencies and students in your region. Answering questions related to admissions and programs and aid in the processing of student applications
- Manage a small team of advisors based in India, while simultaneously collaborating with the primary team based in Canada
- Plan and participate in remote or in person events such as virtual fairs, on-spot admissions, agency fairs and information sessions.
- Assist prospective students and applicants by providing detailed information about entrance requirements and how to apply to their program of choice
- Meet quarterly targets, goals and KPIs set by the Director of International Student Recruitment
- Use market research analysis to generate strategies which will develop and manage international student enrollment
- Maintain databases to efficiently track interactions
- Develop and maintain a wide range of high-level external international relationships with entities such as teachers, guidance counsellors, owners and directors of international and private high schools in India.
- Develop and maintain relationships with and conduct on-going training for the owners, managers and counselors of educational advising partners or agents located in India and surrounding regions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential partner institutions in South Asia. Work with internal academic leadership to develop transnational partnerships with Indian universities and colleges. Engage in recruitment activities at these colleges and universities in order to promote Yorkville University and Toronto Film School programs abroad.
- Run recruitment events for prospective students and applicants in India.
- Working with the marketing team, develop full-funnel advertising strategies and campaigns in India to support success in the region.
- Work with the international admissions team to ensure Indian students and agents are receiving exceptional service at the inquiry and application stage.
- Manage partnerships in South Asia to maximize yield in terms of student starts. Serve as a communication bridge between internal academic leaders and their counterparts in partner organizations.
- Ensures all duties and responsibilities are performed within budgeted resources.
Success will be measured by the number of students who start and study in one of Yorkville University and/or Toronto Film School’s degree or diploma programs.
What you bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in recruiting international students in South Asia
- University/private college sales experience with an active agent network
- Exceptional communications, time and people management skills
- Bachelor’s Degree – Masters preferred
- Bilingual in Hindi and English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-discipline and the ability to work independently and with a team
- Proficiency with various CRM platforms
- Working a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment
- High standards of ethics and integrity
- An entrepreneurial attitude towards individual performance
