Role & responsibilities
Objectives of this Role
Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes
Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
Assist with recruitment efforts, and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale for Office area and Plant area
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Manage relationships with shop floor & ensure that the company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
Develop and implement best employee relations practices and programs.
Investigate and resolve employee relations queries / issues in a timely and effective manner.
Lead & ensure regular communication meetings between all departments and management.
Promote harmonious relations between the Plant shop floor operatives and the Management.
Lead Employee Engagement initiatives for shop floor operatives.
Supervise employee welfare services i.e., Canteen, Transport Services.
Conduct wage survey on region cum industry basis.
Direct disciplinary actions as and when required including preparation of Show-cause notices, Charge-sheets, Warning letters etc.
Lead and take ownership of contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organisations.
License & statutory Registrations monitoring.
Ensure smooth supply of Plant shop floor manpower. Deal with various stakeholders for steady supply of skilled manpower.
Guide and inform management on key labor issues, and external labor market dynamics
Manage and pre-empt labor issues proactively
Be a company Ambassador to external Govt. Labor and union authorities, and represent the organisations best interests
Support departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business direction
Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisors
Champion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business structure.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Report to management and provide decision support
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in human resources
5+ years in human resources or recruitment
Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
Detail-oriented and organisational nature Understanding federal HR laws
