Job description As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading our HR initiatives in India, enhancing our organizational culture, and ensuring our HR practices align with our business goals. You will play a key role in talent acquisition, staff development, performance management, payroll, and employee relations. The person in this position is a member of the Tranter India management team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues. Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain high-quality employees. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance. Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization. Managing Health, Safety and Environment related compliances Maintaining vendor contracts related to HR/Admin (E.g.: canteen, employee transport, labour contractors, security etc.) Manage the merit and short-term incentive processes. Nurture a positive working environment by maintaining a strong company culture with a focus on employee engagement and communication. Assess training needs and monitor training programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, particularly with respect to local labor laws and regulations. Manage HR budgets and report on current and forecasted staffing, labor costs, and other critical metrics. Requirements, Education, Qualifications, and Experience: 5-7 years proven human resources experience managing in a sales and factory environment. In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, including the Shops and Establishments Act, Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) regulations, and the Factories Act. Understanding the nuances of state-specific laws. People-oriented and results-driven. Knowledge of Workday and or BambooHR. Ability to design strategy along with leadership skills. Excellent communications, active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. Understanding and respecting the diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds prevalent in India is important. The HR Manager should be adept at managing a culturally diverse workforce and promoting inclusivity. Understanding and respecting diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. In India. Experience with workforce management practices such as handling union negotiations, contract labor management, and resolving disputes internally through grievance handling mechanisms. Bachelor s degree in human resources, master s degree in human resources management, MBA in HR, or diplomas in labour laws or personnel management.
