The HR Manager will develop and administer all human resource initiatives and provide HR support to all departments and develop and administer human resources plans and procedures.
Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department
Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
By developing and implementing various systems and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, clients, and internal staff, the HR Manager will help HR department to function effectively and efficiently.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Duties and responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
Assisting Manpower planning
Creating and revising job descriptions, KRA’s.
Conduct full-cycle recruitment of new employees, including placing advertisements on various portals and platforms, sourcing and screening, developing contacts with recruiting sources, interviewing, consulting with internal and external hiring partners and managing orientation and on boarding process
Compensation and Benefits:
Implementing and revising a company’s compensation program
Conducting annual salary surveys
Work on evaluating and implementing bands and grades structures
Developing, analyzing, and updating the company’s salary budget
Performing benefits administration
Implement and monitor professional insurance policies and act as point person for insurance certificate requests
Act as support to Accounts team for payroll processing
Talent management:
Developing, analyzing and updating the company’s evaluation program
Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures, Maintain all personnel policies and procedures and provide guidance and interpretation to staff
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and make recommendations to Management Team for improvement of organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters
Maintaining affirmative action programs
Develop and maintain human resources systems that meet personnel information needs
Manage staff training/development program
Oversee performance evaluation procedures
Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
Overseeing exit interviews
Employee Relations:
Maintain Employee Relations
Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate
Serve as contact person for employees and HR vendors Organizational Development:
Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
Update and maintain operations manuals
Serve on several internal committees
Identify and work with external HR consultants and legal consultants on special projects as needed
Managing HR and Administration:
Manage the HR Team members
Participating in administrative staff meetings
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Supervise Office Assistant and Admin Manager
Play leading role in office space management, including the anticipation of office space needs and managing office moves
Manage and oversee office services functions including office equipment, supplies and vendors
Maintain all personnel files & database
Type of Skill/ Licensing/ Certification:
Working knowledge of MS Office, HRIS database
Accounting software knowledge is a plus
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Presentation Skills
Strong interpersonal skills and adept at employee relations including conflict resolution
Client focused, customer service disposition
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and exercise confidentiality
Highly organized and self-motivated
Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse staff
Non-profit and/or human services background desirable but not required
Knowledge of payroll software is a plus
Leadership and supervisory responsibility:
HR Manager has to lead the HR team with relation to the Strategy and Objectives of HR department
HR Manager has to oversee and support the admin function
Budgeting responsibility:
Manage Hiring budget
Forecasting HR Payout for salaries, variable pay and arrears
Managing Admin Budgets
Decision making Impact:
Impacts achievement of Departmental, Functional and Organizational goals
Relation with customers:
Indirectly influences Client Service Quality / Experience
Directly influences brand perception of Internal Customers
Competencies Required:
Hiring, Human Resources Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Laws Against Sexual Harassment, Knowledge of Organizational Behavior etc
