Advise and train managers and supervisors to ensure all employer-employee relationships in the organization comply with collective agreements, individual employment contracts, regulations, laws, and the organization's employment policies and standards.
Represent management in negotiations and dispute resolution with employees, unions, employer bodies, government agencies, labour relations authorities, and other agencies to protect the organization's interests. Manage relationships of legal counsel, mediators, and external consultants to ensure the organization's interests are well-represented. Ensure Timely Renewal of Licences and maintenance of all registers pertaining to Shops & Establishments, Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, ESIC Act & Renewal of contract agreements are being renewed on a timely manner. Filing of Quarterly, Half-yearly, Annual Returns of all the statutes including Employment Exchange, Labour Department & Factory Inspectorate and Liaison with the consultant to track timely filing of returns. Timely updation of Hawkeye system & maintain supporting data. Conduct payroll audit regularly to ensure all the regulations and compliances are met and adhered
Attend Factory Inspections, Labour inspectors visit as and when required – Co-ordinate with the labour consultant to close issues raised / Notices sent by these Authorities
Contract Staff Management – Ensure attendance registers are maintained properly, co-ordination with contractors for processing of payroll, ensure that contractors are complied with all statutory obligations
Act as a SME for payroll processes, responsible for timely & accurate payroll processing for all Merck Entities. Develop systems and processes with precision to handle the entire payroll for the organization. Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in employee data base which includes payroll changes,
Ensure compliance with country and/or regional payroll requirements by reviewing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Work with local payroll providers to obtain guidance on payroll legislation changes
Ensure all year end payroll statutory filing submissions are met. Reconciling the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies and providing additional information for budgeting and forecasting.
Manage Global & Local Payroll Management for Expats
Review Provident Fund RPFC, Pension, Gratuity, payment / settlement in timelines, accounting thereof, preparation of accounts, audit of account, related statutory compliance thereof etc.
Compliance to Rules and managing Trustee meetings
