Job description
Job Title: Manager - HR and Compliance
Reporting To: Chief Manager - HR
Primary Deliverables: To ensure timely completion of all processes related to HR Operations, Recruitment, Leave & Attendance Management, Payroll Processing and Statutory Compliance.
Overview of Responsibilities:
1) Recruitment and Onboarding:
a) Source and shortlist resumes from job portals, consultants and other sources
b) Conducting the HR screening and forwarding shortlisted resumes to operations team
c) Scheduling interviews and taking feedback
d) Collecting joining documents and conducting Reference checks
e) Onboarding and scheduling HR induction
f) Issue Letters as and when required
2) HR Operations:
Payroll and Compliance:
a) Ensure accuracy of employee data, salary structures and attendance on HRMIS system
b) Ensure timely release of monthly payroll cycle
c) Ensure timely payment with documentation required for PF, ESI, Statutory bonus, MLWF and other compliance
d) Ensure compliance with changes in labour laws from time to time
Performance Management and Reviews:
a) Annual Review process with data and issue of increment letters
b) Incorporate changes to the employee database and payroll software on the basis of letters issued mid-year and after the annual review
Employee Engagement and Organization Culture
a) Implement the Employee Suggestion Scheme on an annual basis
b) Coordinate the timely issue of letters, certificates and communication for recognition of employees on crossing important milestones
c) Respond to employee queries / grievance
Database Management:
Maintain employee service files, hard copies of appointment letters, PF nomination forms, exit interview forms, leave forms etc. and soft copies of documents required for statutory compliance
Full and Final Settlement:
a) Issue the full and final settlement & service certificate in accordance with company policies
b) Co-ordinate with Accounts Team for Audit requirements
3) Learning and Development: Support the L&D initiatives planned by coordinating details for registration and payment
4) Additional Responsibilities : Ensure completion of additional responsibilities assigned from time to time
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Post Graduate in HR with minimum 4-5 years experience as in HR domain with at least 2-3 years experience in handling payroll, compensation, compliance and audits in mid-sized organisations
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent Excel skills with ability to work with numbers and prepare reports for Audit
The ideal candidate would be process oriented, attention to detail, good with numbers and a keen learner who takes initiative
