Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
Create and maintains employee files and employment records including documentations related to hiring and promotions, terminations, background checks, I-9 compliance, medical files, performance management and employee records.
Ensures compliance with employee status changes, handle data entry and file maintenance.
Audits employee files and I-9s to ensure compliance to state and federal regulations.
Conducts reference checks and background checks as needed.
Assists with benefit enrolment for qualified full-time employees / maintains files/ provide support as needed.
Perform administrative and record keeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
Respond to employment verification's in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with the gathering of information and response to unemployment claims and Workers Compensation claims.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
Prepare required reports for the company.
Work cooperatively with all other departments to ensure effective delivery of services.
Perform such other duties that may be assigned for providing excellent customer service and for the most effective operation of the company.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelors degree or equivalent required.
A minimum of two years of human resource management experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Strong attention to detail required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
